Reality Sinking In

I really should be in bed at this very late, not so late hour. When you have a baby who has suddenly decided that 2 am is now the new play time, I am totally not sure what I am still doing awake. Oh wait. Reality is finally hitting me that my precious little peanut will be six months old next week. If I weren't so tired, I might just be an emotional mess, or maybe that will come next week when its actually the real deal, but seriously, where did our time go?? I was warned a head of time, that your baby is just a baby for a second and I literally thought it was a joke. You know, generally time goes by really slow sometimes, but nope, not here anyway. I felt like we just brought our little bundle of joy home yesterday and here we are today eating solid food, holding our own bottle, thinking she's miss independent and has her mind completely made up of what she wants.

Bittersweet moments here as I type this and reflect on the months leading up to this point. I want her to be little and still have that little girl who just wants to cuddle and be held every single second, but then I want her to grow up and I want to know her little personality and play and do girly things. Such a conflicting moment for me. I didnt really think time would go by THAT fast and it has. It really makes me not take anything for granted and make every moment count. I mean, thats what we're suppose to do, right? Six months. I think I will treasure these last few days, because the feeling of six months, feels like a year old. Almost seems as if everything is completely about to change and we are hitting a new level and this sleepless momma is totally unprepared and not ready for what is about to take place. I will get there. We will get there.

Slow down Paisley Grace, I just brought you home my love. I know we have so much a head of us but I still would like to embrace your littleness for just a few moments longer.

Time, oh time, oh time, why do thee move so quickly?

See, she is getting to be such a BIG girl!!

The Sunday Currently

This week I am linking up for a series called The Sunday Currently.
Here we go...

Reading: The Resolution for Women. Great book on learning to be content in all things.

Writing: Lots of new blog posts! My goal is to get several in a week. We will see how that one actually goes....

Listening: Hubby has Mountain Men on while I type this post

Thinking: I really need to go get dinner started before too long

Smelling: Freshly cut up watermelon. Thank you husband for doing that!

Wishing: I could take a short little nap while Paisley is napping away

Hoping: we get good news on the house we are trying to buy this week. God please let these investors back off!!

Wearing: tan and coral tank with yoga capris. Comfort at its finest y'all

Loving: All the new things Paisley is doing and learning. Leaves no dull moments in our house :)

Wanting: To take a trip to Hobby Lobby and see what new ideas I can come up with for the revamping of our home!!

Needing: To watch the redbox movie we rented before its due back later tonight. Hope we can accomplish this one...

Feeling: Tired but content

Clicking: on FB way tooooooo much. It practically happens every time I sit down, feed Paisley, get in the car, yada, yada, yada.

Happy Sunday You All!

Catchin' Waves

Friday we took Paisley to the beach and for the first time ever, since its finally hot warm enough, we were able to put Paisley in the water. Naturally she loves water, but it was an extra special moment when she got to go swim in the Gulf of Mexico. A bit wavy, but nonetheless, I think we all really enjoyed our time. Paisley was so worn out, she barely made it to get dressed :) I now know what we will be doing the rest of the summer....

Experiencing our first tide

Lovin' the water

Hey where's that water going?

Im having so much fun Mom and Dad!

Rockin those shades

On the hunt for a good sunscreen shield shirt. Any good recommendations for little ones?

All Growed Up

Today we set up Paisleys high chair and while it doesnt seem to be a big deal, this momma is having a hard time coping with the fact that my little girl is constantly growing and getting so big.
I feel like we shouldnt even be at this stage where she thinks she can be so independent already, scream at us when she is mad or doesnt like something, eat big people food or reach everything just like shes a pro and knows exactly what she wants. At five months old I thought she would still be just like my sleeping, tiny newborn girl. Wishful thinking I know. Oh how the time flies, and there is no stopping it.

Another big moment in the Foltz home and I know this is only the start for whats to come :)

"Mom, I like eating banana in my new seat! Now I dont feel so left out when you eat. I promise I wont throw anymore fits at dinner time!"

Four Generations

Aaron and I are both so lucky to have most of our grandparents still living. Just wanted to share our Four Generations photos with y'all! We are blessed with wonderful grandparents who just our adore our precious little baby girl!

I am also so thankful that Paisley got to meet most of her great-grandparents. I have always wished for this day and for these moments. Only thing that would have made it complete was my grandma, my best friend, meeting Paisley. I know she would have adored Paisley beyond what words could ever say or express, but I know she is watching from Heaven and is pry well pleased :)

We love you grandparents so very much! Thank you for being a part of our lives and a part of Paisleys. We wont ever forget the times that we were able to spend with y'all!

4th of July Fun!

We managed to get to FL and take off 15 hours after arriving. Talk about a short stay at home! We went from 3 suitcases down to one duffel bag in a matter of a few minutes and we were back on the road again. This time our travel adventures took us to Englewood, FL to spend 4th of July with my hubby's Grandad.

We arrived early afternoon, and went to a Cajun Festival downtown, and let me just say that was the best Chicken and Sausage Gumbo I have had in a very long time! The weather was absolutely horrendous but we braved the thick humidity for a bit and then found ourselves in some old antique stores. My new found love now includes Antiqueing :)

We then went back to Grandads so Paisley could nap for a bit. We sat around and chatted for a bit, rested, grilled some tasty burgers and veggies and out the door we went for some fireworks. Let me just mention here that we were in such a hurry to get to the fireworks, that I decided to feed Paisley in the car on the way, yes, I know, you shouldnt take a baby out of their carseat, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, and while feeding her my FIL managed to whip a fast U-turn and get pulled over. Not only was I feeding Paisley in the backseat, none of us wearing seatbelts, and tons of people staring at who got pulled over, we somehow scrambled to get Paisley in her seat, my dress pulled up, seat belts on and make everything look like we had always been put together. Talk about a funny story we wont ever forget.

We arrived just in time for fireworks. After everything that we had been through days before and long travel hours and a baby who is just completely fed up with her carseat, it melted my heart to see how excited Paisley was over fireworks. The girl LOVED fireworks. Our decision to come back early paid off with just the simple joy of our baby giggling and screaming in amazement of brightly colored BOOM, BOOM, BOOMs :) Happy Independence day America!

Hope you all had a great 4th of July!!

Home Sweet Home

Aaron and I decided last minute to come home for the 4th of July. With two days to get ourselves packed, tickets changed and a ride to the airport we managed to pull it together really quickly and arrived home on the 3rd. We had a great time in CO with my family, and while I miss them, it is so nice to be home!
I cant tell you how great it felt to sleep in my own bed with my own pillows.

Getting through Denver International Airport was the most stressful part of our trip, well, one of the most stressful parts. Took forever to get our boarding passes, get through security and just as we are almost to our terminal I look down and Paisley had completely blown out her diaper. Back and sides were completely done for. It was the worst blowout we have had to date, and it ended with me throwing the outfit out. I was THAT mom  in the restroom almost in tears because it was such a mess. I really hope we dont have to endure that one again, but on the bright side, at least it happened BEFORE we got on the plane.

Paisley did great on our flight home, though we hit bad weather and they re routed us causing our flight to be a lot longer than it was scheduled for. Darn FL rain! So proud of my little champion!!

We took these pictures with Kylar and Bentlee right before we left. How could we not get a photo op of all the cousins?? Kylar had no idea what to do with two girls :) Poor guy!

Sisters and our babies :)

Bye-Bye Colorado. Till next time!!

Happy 4th!!

Just want to wish y'all a Happy Happy 4th of July!
We are eating junk food, hanging at the beach and playing games!
We decided at the last moment to come home early from our vacation in CO and got back home last night and took off again this morning! Home has never felt better.

Thank you to the all the men and women who have fought hard for our freedom. Your sacrifice doesnt do a thank you justice, but we appreciate you!

Mommy & Me Monday

Happy Monday and Happy July!!
I cant believe that it's seriously July!!
We are counting down the days till the 4th and till we go home. So much to do still and so little time :)

Yesterday we went with my dad four-wheeling and had a blast! The weather was a bit nipply for this FL girl but we managed. Paisley rode in the moby while I drove the four-wheeler and I guess it was a little too bouncy for her because not long after we left, she was back asleep :) We got rained on but that didnt stop us from having any fun!

We also got to see snow, well, a patch of snow if we were really honest. Paisley loved having her hands in it and didnt mind much at all that it was cold and wet. The biggest surprise of the whole trip was getting to see a bull moose. Coolest thing I have ever seen!

In honor of our little adventure yesterday, I am bombarding this post with some pics of our outing. The rest of the pics will come in a post all on its own. Be watching!!

Have a Happy 4th of July!!
