Baby MUST HAVES...

I saw another blog post, where she blogged about her favorite baby products or MUST HAVES so I thought I would do the same here, in case any of you were curious!

1. Moby Wrap

Oh the beloved Moby Wrap! I dont know how I went the first month without it. Paisley loves to be held so by tying her up in this wrap I was able to get more stuff done and she was able to be held close to me, and sleep. This was a BIG win and a BIG lifesaver!!

2. Pampers Sensitive Baby Wipes

This really are soft and sensitive. I bought a ton of Walmart brand wipes and I hate them. I prefer to wipes a little babies bum with something soft. Its only right!

3. Medela Nipple Shield

For those of you who have flat nipples (like I do), inverted nipples, or problem getting baby to latch, I have found this shield works wonders. I would be so lost without this thing. Serious!

4. Johnson & Johnson Nursing Pads

I loved these brand particularly because there are so much more absorbent than most brands. I tried the Lansinoh brand and hated them. I was more frustrated by them than anything else.

5. Target Brand Milk Storage Bags

Love these suckers! They may be an off brand, but to me, they are more durable and better quality than all the others. First years are awful, and Lansinoh arent that great either. For the price these just cant be beat.

6. Boppy Pillow

I would be 100% lost without my boppy pillow. This is how I feed Paisley 99.9% of the time. It gives me something to rest my arm on and it props her up so it makes feeding so much easier for the two of us, especially at night.

7. Boob*Ease

Ok, ok, I tried Lanolin and I think because it was so darn thick, it actually made matters worse than actually helping my sore, hurting nipples. I looked and looked for other alternatives, and after pretty good reviews on this stuff i thought it would be worth the try. I am so proud that I decided to try this amazing stuff. Its really does soothe and help take away a lot of that pain new breastfeeding mommies experience :) Definitely worth the extra few bucks!

8. Rock and Play Sleeper

BEST, BEST, BEST baby product on the market!! I was just going to use the pack and play and at the last minute decided to get one of these bad boys, and let me tell you, you will not be sorry you got this thing. Paisley slept great in this thing! It kept her elevated so kept reflux and spit down. Its lightweight and very very portable. Everyone should have this thing! It really is that great!!

9. Swaddle Me

Paisley loves to be somewhat confined even though she loves her hands way to much, but this helped keep her sleeping through most of the night. This made her feel safe and secure. It was the only way that we could get her to sleep and keep her asleep.

10. Target Brand Diapers

We tried, Pampers, Huggies, and Walmart. Nothing worked as great for us as the Target brand diapers. We had less blow outs with these diapers than anything else. They are very absorbent and work great at least for little girls. They cost less too, so that makes me a very happy mommy :)

11. Medela Pump

Love my medela pump. I initially bought a playtex and was sold on just using the playtex pump, but then we were given the Medela and I fell in love. We used the hospital grade at the hospital and loved that even more, but Medela really is the #1 pump.

12. Born Free Bottles

I planned on using Playtex drop ins and breast flow bottles only. I bought several of each, and the Tommie Tippie ones, and then we were given the Born Free Bottles and it was the only bottle that Paisley would end up taking. Funny how that works! She still refuses other bottles except for these :)

13. Gumdrop Pacifiers

My lifesaver!!! Literally!! Paisley is a comfort sucker and for so long I would just boob pacify but that got to be too much. Luckily, my sister got Paisley to take one of these bad boys and it has saved our lives. We dont go anywhere without one of these! Miracle worker is what this should be called. We would be lost without these, and Paisley would pry just scream her head off most days without one of these little miracle things :)

There you have it! These are our favorites! Hope they help some of you when you are trying to figure out what stuff you really need :)

First Swim!!

We took Paisley swimming for the first time ever last weekend, and Im not sure who had more fun, Mom and Dad or Paisley. To say Paisley loves her bath would be an understatement.  She LOVES the water. I hated the water as a baby, so it must be something she got from her daddy :)

The water was a littler cooler than I expected it to be, but once we got in and got moving, she was all smiles and baby jibberish.

We were able to stay for about an hour and half, which was a big surprise, but soon after she was completely exhausted. Snoring tired ha.

Cant wait to take her again!! Maybe next time could be to the beach???

First Road Trip

I should have posted this over a month ago but little missy keeps me very busy. So for Aaron's spring break we decided at the very last second, literally, that we were going to go to Englewood, FL for a few days and stay with Aaron's grandad. It took me one hour to get three of us packed, four if you include our puppy, and get myself ready. Cant believe I managed that one, but nevertheless, we were in the car and ready to go one hour and thirty minutes from deciding we were going. Paisley did absolutely great in the car! She slept the entire way and woke up long enough to eat at lunch and then once we got to Grandads house.

The weather was very cold for FL, and kept us from hanging out at the beach so that was a bit of a bummer. I can say though, that it was so nice to finally get out and go somewhere, but babies require a lot of stuff, even if its just for a few nights (or a night), and we were super tired once we got home.

We had a blast! And Grandad was so happy to get to spend time with Paisley Grace. Cant wait to visit again! Hopefully next time the weather will cooperate a bit more and we can play at the beach :)

Happy Easter!

I should have gotten to this sooner but life is hectic with a little one. We had a great Easter. The weather was absolutely beautiful and our sweet baby was ever so happy! Our church added a Saturday night service so Paisley and I tagged along with Aaron to rehearsal and to service. We went to the regular Easter Service at our church which was fantastic! Lots of people. We did Easter dinner at Aarons mom since we are trying to figure out what Paisley is allergic too, which meant cutting the big stuff like dairy and soy, so basically that eliminates eating out for us. It was a good meal based upon the fact that it was allergy safe and healthy. We didn't dye any eggs, a first for me, and no egg hunt, also a first for me, but I believe when Pais is over a year next year we will have a BIG Easter celebration and a BIG egg hunt :) Cant wait!! Hope you all enjoyed your Easter!

Isnt she just precious?

Daddy picked the dress and he did fabulous!!

Easter 2013

THREE Months!!

Age: 3 Months

Birthday: January 15, 2013

Weight: 11 pounds 4.5 ounces

Length: 23 inches

Sleep: Sleeping anywhere from 6-8.5 hours! Depends on how nap time goes during the day, or if she is going through a growth spurt. We have had a few nights where she wakes up at 2:30 and doesn't go back to sleep till around 5. Kinda makes for a long night and a long day.

My Bedtime: 9:00/9:30

Favorite Toy: Monkey rattle that hangs on her carseat, the lil vibrating bug from Dramma and her ball

Clothes Size: Newborn and some 0-3 month stuff. We are just to bout grow out of the newborn stuff except for the dresses and pants. She has an itty bitty waist :)

Diaper Size: Newborn

Milestones Reached: Grasping on to monkey rattle and her ball, rolling to her left side, finding her feet, LOVING to stand (sometimes the only thing that will make her happy is to let her just stand and look around), going absolutely CRAZY in the bath (wish you all could see it!), Sucking on her hands, she loves to suck on three fingers or put her fist in her mouth, AND.....GIGGLING!!!!!

Firsts: Putting our toes in the pool and in the Bay at the park! Going on our first road trip to see Great-Grandad! She did great in the car and while we were away!

Best Mood: Mornings still, but she has become such a happy happy baby that she is generally so happy most of the time unless she is hungry or sleepy

Best Moments: Listening to her giggle. Makes my heart just melt and spill out on the floor!! Shes also quite the talker too.

Worst Moments: Dealing with possible food allergies and all the doctor visits that we are having to go to :( And the cold she some how got recently :(

Two month|Three month

**Paisley Grace, I love getting to see you grow! Its all happening soo fast, but its been so much fun getting to see all the new things you are learning and doing. You have become such a happy happy baby lately and there is no greater joy in seeing you so happy. There have been so many firsts this last month and I cant tell you how excited I am to see everything else that you will learn to do and will do in the upcoming months. When we heard you giggle for the first time, it brought tears to my eyes. I love watching grow up! I am excited by all the things that have yet to come and the things we will get ,to do when you are older. It just started to hit me the other day that one day you will be in to all my clothes, shoes, make-up and jewelry and it makes me delighted. I use to get into your great-grandmas stuff all the time. Its getting close to summer too and I see all the fun new summer stuff for children and I got me so excited for when you are older and we get to go buy bubbles, and do bubbles, or build sand castles, swim in the ocean, do sidewalk chalk. Theres so much a head and I cant wait!! I am still so in awe that God gave us this perfect, beautiful baby! I am blessed to be your mommy! I love you so much baby girl!!
