Mommy & Me/Weekend in Review

To be honest, I'm a little sad that Monday is here already. This weekend went by way too fast and here it is Monday and Im wishing for one more day or for Friday to be tomorrow ha! My hubby works six days a week and I'm slowly realizing that as Paisley gets older, its getting harder and harder to only have him around for one full day. You Momma's that are in my same shoes, please tell me how you do it???

Here is how our weekend looked:

Friday: Pais had a playdate with some friends of ours and because there is a little beach right down the street, we walked down and let the kiddos play in the water. It was cold, but it was so fun and I think the little ones had an absolute blast!! Friday evening we went to my MIL's homecoming game. We were late, it was packed and lets just say that in the first half, the team was winning by 30 some points. The game might have been boring, but lil miss Paisley could not stop waving and smiling at every single person! She even flirted with the boys {dadda you are in big trouble as she gets older!} It was beyond cute to see how excited she was to see that many people! Best part of the night was {well not for the young girl} watching a girl put up a pretty big fight as she was getting arrested, all the while, Paisley sitting on Papa's shoulders just smiling and waving at her. We had a good laugh!

Saturday: I cant remember the last time since we all got to sleep in, so the three of us cuddled, slept in and were pretty much lazy for the entire morning. We had pancakes for breakfast which is Pais new favorite to eat {only thing she will eat right now}! Aaron finally put my cabinet doors on while I cleaned. We took a little trip to Babies 'r' us where Paisley got some new shoes and got some cute little Christmas outfits :) The night ended with some wings at Wing House, where once again, Paisley flirted with all the boys...oops guys ;)

Sunday: We spent the day at church and then had lunch at Cheddar's with great grandma Sandra and Uncle Craig. Both of them have not seen Paisley in months so imagine their surprise when we let her down and she's practically walking!! My baby grew up over night :(

Great, relaxing weekend for this household and once again I will say its getting harder to have Aaron home one day a week. Pais is just too much fun right now!!

Hope you all had a great weekend!!

P.S. Paisley is sporting her new sparkles :) Dont you just love??

  1. ahhh those pictures are the cutest! It sounds like you had a full weekend even with daddy home just the one day. My husband works 2 jobs 6 days a week, so I'm feeling you with there not being enough daddy time. Only two more weeks of 2 jobs though, but still the one job will be 6 days a week. I'm not sure how we all survive. But, we do try to pack that one day off full of things - even if it is just errands or wandering around Target. Feels like we get a lot more time together if we go go go. I wish I had more advice!

  3. To be honest, it never gets easier not having Daddy around much. But I've found myself more content knowing that our times together are always super special because we don't get many. God has definitely worked on my heart over the last (almost) 9!!! years of our life together - Blake has worked shift work, usually graves or evenings, never days as long as we've been married. I have no idea what a 'normal' job would look like. We just make the most of what time we get together. :)
