Easter 2014

Easter this year was crazy busy for us, but when you are in the life of Ministry, holidays are always busy.

We spent Good Friday relaxing, the hubs and I finishing a few last minute Easter things, and time with family. We spent Friday evening at my in-laws with everyone and had an amazing prime rib dinner with lots of yummy fixins! Paisley did a little egg hunt, opened up her Easter basket, and we had a grand ole time dying Easter eggs. Paisley colored all 36 eggs. She was a busy girl and loved every minute of it, mess and all :)

Saturday, we had little Easter donuts for breakfast, let Paisley see the animals at the Chick-fil-a petting zoo, and mid-afternoon the hubs and I had to leave for our first Easter service at church. Paisley spent the evening with Grandma and Grandad and had a blast I am sure :)

Sunday, it was up super early for the last two Easter services, lunch with my in-laws, and a long walk in the most gorgeous weather. Sunday was a super long day but it was so much fun! Paisley had way too much fun searching for eggs, opening Easter baskets and playing with her new piggy bank Grandad got her!

Reading her first Bible with Dadda

Grammy and Papa gave Paisley the cutest rabbit ever! Its like having the real thing without having to clean a cage or take care of it. It hopes and makes sounds :)

Pais looks forward to Sundays and feeding the ducks with Papa and Grammy

Great Easter weekend and I cant wait for all the fun that we will have next year!

Hope you all had a Happy Easter!

Mommy & Me

After taking a much needed break from blogland I am back for a few days sharing some fun new things we have been trying out!

This has been a whirlwind of a month and I cant believe we are in the last few days of February. Its crazy to me that we are about to March and the third month of the new year. Anyone else know where the time is going?

Just as February has been busy, March will be equally busy if not busier, and we cant forget spring break! I will be counting down the weeks till the hubs is out for a week and we get to get away for a few days!!

Although, its been busy, we made time for the State Fair last Sunday, and as you can guess, it was nothing short of fun, huge crowds, and lots of grease. Surprisingly, we didnt eat too bad at the fair and we didn't try anything beyond fried candy bars {boring I know}. We did get to see lots of animals, feed lots of animals, and even watch a baby chick hatch. Best part of the day!

I am getting excited for the Strawberry Festival this weekend! I am sure you will hear all about it next week, but till then, here are a few pictures from our time at the FL State Fair. Oh, and after watching all the kids feed the giraffe, Paisley was a pro when it was her turn. She didn't hesitate one bit. She held her hand straight up for the giraffe and had the hugest grin you could even imagine possible on a little tot ;)

Are these not the cutest seals? They "pose" with you and on occasion they will even smile!

Hope you all have a great week!

Happy Friday

Hello Lovelies!

I have yet to get my Five up for Friday, thanks to being sick...AGAIN!! I am gladly welcoming any advice to boost our immune systems because getting sick on a weekly basis is somewhat ridiculous!!

I will share this...stay tuned for some exciting news that I will be sharing sometime in the next few days!!

Hope you all have a fabulous Friday and a great weekend!!

Mommy & Me/Weekend Recap

We had a very uneventful weekend, well, we celebrated my birthday early this weekend, but besides making Christmas cookies and doing a little Christmas shopping we played it low key this weekend.

The hubs had a field trip Friday and didnt get back until around 8 and was completely wiped. While he was gone, I spent the evening with my in-laws making Christmas cookies. My MIL made some of the best sugar cookies, comparable to the ones we use to make with my mom every Christmas and Valentines Day. They were so good I wont even tell you how many I ate! And if you readers are lucky enough maybe she will let me share the recipe ;)

Saturday, the hubs suggested we got to Cracker Barrel in our sweats and so we did. I cant even remember the last time we went out for breakfast, and I honestly can say that I have never gone to breakfast in my sweats, so while it took some convincing for me to not spend forever getting ready and to just go, I caved and it was fun :) Paisley loved breakfast!

The hubby and I spent the rest of Saturday grocery shopping, and Christmas shopping. It was great to get out on our own and get some things accomplished a lot faster. Momma's you know what I am talking about!

Saturday evening the hubby made me the most delicious Pad Thai! Pad Thai is one of my all time favorites and the hubs nailed it! Instead of going out and celebrating my birthday, since we will do the real deal Tuesday, we decided to eat in and do a Christmas movie! Great day and a GREAT meal! I mean he really nailed it!

Sunday, we spent the morning at church. Paisley fought us on naps after being up literally all night. Dont know how she did it, but needless to say, we never got a break. I finished all the Christmas presents for our folks and I cant wait to share with you all what we did for them! And call me an old lady if you wish, but we called it an evening at 9:30 last night! I know! Children really are draining :)

BUT in other news, Paisley might have never slept yesterday, but she DID take off walking all on her own!! I looked down for a second and saw someone taking off and I looked up and lo and behold, Paisley was off all on her own! She doesnt need us :) She's got the walking down! Let the fun begin!

Lastly, if you havent checked out my giveaway stop by and enter! For all you Mommas with little girls, check out these cute headbands!

Now for Mommy & Me...

The hubby shot this pic one night when Paisley and I were playing with ornaments, and it is by far my most favorite picture! I just cant stop smiling :) See for yourself....

Happy week friends!! One week till the hubs is home for the rest of the year, and 9 days till Christmas!! Craziness!!

Mommy & Me/Weekend Recap {photo overload}

This last weekend has probably been one of my most favorite weekends of the year! We took Paisley to several Christmas events Friday evening, and I dont know who had more fun, her or us :) Christmas really is more magical with kiddos! We saw Reindeer, Snow, we did some sled-riding, playing with snow {which really was just ice}, Saw Santa and enjoyed some good ole Christmas music. How does that sound for a Friday evening!? Way too much fun I tell ya!!

Saturday, the hubs and I decided that we needed a family day of fun, where we just spent time with each other and with Paisley and did a little Christmas shopping. We spent over an hour at Target trying to come up with one last item for Paisley, BUT she got a brand new carseat and loves it so far! We spent a little time at Ikea getting the rest of the kitchen accessories that are going with Paisley's kitchen, and then topped off our evening at a little place called Hyde Park that makes you feel almost like you went to another place. It might be the ritzy area but they sure know how to decorate for Christmas, and I would really like to say that we got a few pictures of Paisley, but as hard as we tried, she was just not having it what so ever! Shopping makes a girl tired!

Sunday, we did church, where Paisley has discovered she LOVES lipstick, future Mary-kay consultant? Maybe. To finish off a fabulous weekend, we attended the last performance of our Churches' Christmas production; The Gospel According to Scrooge! Great production and so fun! Paisley would beg to differ as was a little ham, but we still enjoyed our time ;)

Such a great weekend and some great memories! We did learn though, Paisley doesnt care much for Santa!! Maybe after she sees the present she is getting she will rethink her feelings ;)

Hope you all have a wonderful week!!
