Spontaneous Christmas Shoot

Right before we needed to head out the door, or actually as we needed to be heading out the door for Christmas dinner, the hubs had an idea to get out our fancy new camera and shoot a few shots of Paisley in all white before we put on her Christmas tutu and here is the result of our fun shoot with little Missy...

I love this little peanut :)

Five on Friday

Someone please tell me that teething gets easier as your little love gets older! We are going on three sleepless nights and today I am feeling like its going to be a whole lotta coffee kinda day!! Oh the joys, but its Friday! The hubs has to be out late for a field trip, but luckily the in-laws are saving the day and we are making heaps of Christmas cookies and are having a play date this morning!

Not counting this one, but I can not even begin to process that we have one Friday left till Christmas!! Im not a big fan of Thanksgiving being so late. I feel so messed up right now its not even funny y'all!!

Linking up with DarciNatashaChristina, and April to kick off my birthday weekend!

..ONE..

I have been seeing this advent devotional book in my Instagram feed and decided that I needed to get on board and see if this book was really as good as everyone kept saying it is. Well, let me tell y'all, BEST book I have read in a long time. Ok, devotional book anyway. Ann Voskamp is an amazing writer and what she writes is beyond powerful! I cant get enough of this book! If you want a good devotional read {yes, even if we are getting closer to Christmas} look no further!

"The authority of God made all of creation, but it was the affection of God that made His children"

Go read it!!

..THREE..

My MIL and I went and tried a new tea place yesterday and I think both of us were surprised at how amazing it was! We ate lunch there, which was crazy good, and the best part... they had the best cupcakes in the entire world, vegan cupcakes to be exact! The tea was amazing as well! I've been a big fan of Teavana, but after reading about how a lot of their tea is made up of GMO's and pesticides, we have ventured to another local place called Tebella, which is great too, but after yesterday, I think my new fav is Kaleisia Tea Lounge. Excellent tea, great prices, and a really unique atmosphere! We will be going back there! If you are a tea lover, order online or if you live in the Tampa area go try these places out!

..FOUR..

So last week Target had carseats on sale, and since Paisley is almost growing out of her infant carseat, we decided that we need to move on up in the world to a convertible carseat! I researched like crazy, what the best carseat would be in our price range, our car, and what would last us longer and allow us to rear face Paisley as long as possible, and we ended up choosing the Graco Myride 70 carseat in Jigsaw. Target had it on sale for $127.99, normally $159.99 and then if you spent $75 on Black Friday you got a 20% off coupon, so with the sale, the coupon and 5% off using your Target Redcard, it brought us to a whopping $96.00!! Can you believe the savings?? And I think some little girl likes her new seat....you be the judge :)

..FIVE..

Tuesday I turn another year older, and unlike most years where it feels like its just another day, I am looking forward to sharing this day with Paisley. I am hoping we get the chance to make it to the Winter Wonderland at the zoo. Besides the gazillions of lights they have, they will have reindeer, and of course many of the other fun animals! Paisley is going to flip and I just cant wait to see her excitement, which make for the worlds best birthday ever!!

Let the birthday celebrations begin!!

Happy weekend friends!!

Mommy & Me/Weekend Recap {photo overload}

This last weekend has probably been one of my most favorite weekends of the year! We took Paisley to several Christmas events Friday evening, and I dont know who had more fun, her or us :) Christmas really is more magical with kiddos! We saw Reindeer, Snow, we did some sled-riding, playing with snow {which really was just ice}, Saw Santa and enjoyed some good ole Christmas music. How does that sound for a Friday evening!? Way too much fun I tell ya!!

Saturday, the hubs and I decided that we needed a family day of fun, where we just spent time with each other and with Paisley and did a little Christmas shopping. We spent over an hour at Target trying to come up with one last item for Paisley, BUT she got a brand new carseat and loves it so far! We spent a little time at Ikea getting the rest of the kitchen accessories that are going with Paisley's kitchen, and then topped off our evening at a little place called Hyde Park that makes you feel almost like you went to another place. It might be the ritzy area but they sure know how to decorate for Christmas, and I would really like to say that we got a few pictures of Paisley, but as hard as we tried, she was just not having it what so ever! Shopping makes a girl tired!

Sunday, we did church, where Paisley has discovered she LOVES lipstick, future Mary-kay consultant? Maybe. To finish off a fabulous weekend, we attended the last performance of our Churches' Christmas production; The Gospel According to Scrooge! Great production and so fun! Paisley would beg to differ as was a little ham, but we still enjoyed our time ;)

Such a great weekend and some great memories! We did learn though, Paisley doesnt care much for Santa!! Maybe after she sees the present she is getting she will rethink her feelings ;)

Hope you all have a wonderful week!!
